Dividend announcement for stock derivatives
When a company pays shareholders dividends, it reduces the company's value by the dividend amount. The dividend payout leads to the share price reduction at the market opening on the ex-dividend date, which is the day the company stock starts trading without the value of the dividend. If you hold a stock derivative of a company that pays dividends, we will credit the dividend amount to your account for Buy orders or debit it from your account for Sell orders on the ex-dividend date.
